Most of what decides whether an island property works is not in the listing. Whether the well produces in a dry September, whether a sewerage system was ever filed, what the zone permits, which fire department responds. Those answers exist in public records that are scattered across four agencies and are tedious to assemble.

So I assemble them, with the source and the date beside each one, and I say plainly when a record does not exist rather than leaving a blank you might not notice.
